Château Brande Bergere
Cuvée O'Byrne (2009)
Château Brande Bergère is located North of Saint-Emilion on a hill with gravelly soil on clayish subsoil. It is one of the highest points in Gironde, overlooking the Dronne valley for over 25 miles. The vineyard of Brande Bergère has been cultivated since the 18th century, and in the 19th century, it was given the AOC “Nord Saint Emilion”.
Medium-deep red in color. Pepper, raspberry, and hints of strawberry on the nose. The palate gives way to balanced tannin and ripe red fruit with subtle hints of leather character. Lingering finish.
